2" Wrench Drive Lift-to-Release Ratchet
Break Strength — 11,000 lbs
Work Load Limit — 3,335 lbs
A ratchet consists of a round gear with teeth, and a spring-loaded pawl that engages the teeth. When the teeth are moving forward, the pawl easily slides up and over the edges of the teeth. When the teeth move in the backward direction, the pawl will catch against the sloped edge of the tooth, locking it and preventing any further motion.
